A República Project
A one-bedroom apartment designed for a practical and eclectic couple. As we know, storage space is always valuable in a one-bedroom home, which is why we incorporated a shoe cabinet, a mirror, and a small bench in the entrance hall to make putting on and taking off shoes easier.
To complete the space, we chose a beautiful round rug made from wool and hemp, featuring a pattern inspired by traditional embroidery from the Minho region of Portugal.
In the area leading to the living room, we proposed a decorative wall panel inspired by the shape of the Ginkgo biloba, an ancient tree also known as the tree of love.
When a home has only one bedroom, we always recommend choosing a sofa bed. In this case, the selected sofa can be customised in terms of dimensions, leg design, and upholstery. It also features a proper mattress, ensuring greater comfort when used as a bed.
We aimed to balance a neutral colour palette with contrasting accents, such as the ARIO floor lamp and the ZAIRA tea trolley.
The TV unit was custom-designed, combining white finishes with a slightly darker shade than the walls — a soft silk grey.
With the kitchen featuring matt white lacquered finishes, we chose a white round table for the dining area, allowing for easier movement around the space. When needed, the table can be extended into an oval shape to accommodate additional guests.
